There are fun vacation week events and programs in Metrowest Massachusetts for kids to do during the break. Here are some highlights!

Animal Adventures

Animal Adventures is New England’s largest, privately owned animal rescue center of its kind, operating out of Bolton since 1997. It started as an exotic animal rescue center and expanded into a family-operated small zoo. They are open to the public for visiting, tours, classes and events. FebZOOary plans from Feb 16-25: Different themed animal shows all day everyday at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day during vacation week. They will also be doing Zookeeper for a Day, first come, first serve, you can experience what it’s like to work at a zoo, learn animal care and enrichment! Be sure to call ahead to reserve Private and Extreme Tours times. After-hours tours will be available as well.

Wellesley Free Library

Run Along! A one-man, one-guitar, 5,000-step musical stage show for children to promote exercise, goal-setting, and positive family fun. Dance 5,000 steps along with Doug Adams while you ‘visit’ world landmarks. This interactive show is best for children ages 4-8 and their caregivers. Registration for children required starting on February 13.

Wellesley Free Library

Vacation Crafternoon: Upcycled Texting Gloves: Try out this super-easy sewing project – turn regular gloves into texting gloves at Vacation Crafternoon! Bring in a pair of gloves that you would like to modify and we’ll supply the needles and thread. For ages 8-13. Registration required starting February 15.

Learn to Breakdance! The Boston Mobile Dance Studio is taking over the library during February vacation week to teach Framingham’s teens (Grades 6-12) how to pop and lock. Kids will learn to construct delightfully complicated contraptions using dominoes, popsicle sticks, rubber bands, string and more.

TCAN Children’s Film Festival
