Red Sox Picnic in the Park and Auction

This post is over 30 days old, and this event is now over. Please visit our events section for current events.

Fenway ParkWhat could be a better way to spend a summer night in Boston? A picnic on a field of green for sure! But how about the notorious field of green at Fenway Park? That would be a home run, right?! Then check out the Red Sox Picnic in the Park on Sunday, August 24, 2014 for the ultimate summer night.

The Red Sox Picnic in the Park is about one hour after the conclusion of the 1:35 game that day. As you know, baseball games run on their own time schedule so hence the lack of an exact time, but it should be around 5:30pm or so.

A general “Picnic in the Park” ticket includes a forty-five minute autograph session with Red Sox players in attendance (time restrictions may apply), BBQ dinner on Fenway’s famous outfield, entertainment, goodie bag, and live auction of one-of-a-kind player-donated experiences. Some of the experiences include a 45 minute batting and base running lesson with Brock Holt, a meet and greet with David Ortiz, a walk-on role in the hit TV show GLEE, or even spend a few hours with NESN Red Sox reporter Gary Striewski as he prepares to cover a Red Sox home game. Each ticket costs $325.

If you purchase a MVP Picnic in the Park ticket, you also get one bleacher ticket to the Seattle Mariners vs. Boston Red Sox game on Sunday, August 24 prior to the picnic, as well as a baseball signed by a Red Sox Legend, an opportunity to take a photo of yourself with the 2004, 2007 and 2013 World Series trophies, and an automatic entry into a raffle, with prizes including Green Monster tickets and 2015 Opening Day tickets. Each ticket costs $475.

You can purchase tickets here.

You can bid on the Red Sox Picnic in the Park Auction items even if you don’t attend the Picnic in the Park. You can find them all here.

Children under 3 years old are admitted free with a ticketed adult, but have to sit on an adult’s lap. Everyone else needs a ticket. All Picnic tickets must be purchased in advance due to the space on the field. The Red Sox Picnic in the Park is a charitable event to support the Red Sox Foundation’s Red Sox Scholars and RBI Programs, so a portion of your Picnic Ticket is tax deductible.

Use the code RSFPicnic14 for $50 off a ticket – either the General or MVP Picnic in the Park Ticket.

Sounds like a home-run-kind-of-event to me!
