Red Sox Open House at Fenway Park

This post is over 30 days old, and this event is now over. Please visit our events section for current events.

red soxThis Saturday, April 25, the Red Sox are having a special open house! It is a great time to see all of the improvements and additions made at Fenway in the off season, like the new Kids Concourse!

The open house is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m at Fenway Park. The Open House, presented by Nexium® 24HR, will feature college baseball between two Historically Black Colleges, Florida A&M University and North Carolina Central University, starting at 2 p.m.

Fans will have a chance to walk around the park at their own pace, discover behind-the-scenes locations, and learn more about the 103-year-old ballpark’s history by following the “Fenway Park: A Living Museum” plaques, displays, and historical markers. Kids will enjoy the new Wally’s Clubhouse, Kid’s Concourse, and other kid focused activities that are new this season.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., families and fans will also have an opportunity to walk on the warning track, sit in the dugouts, peer into the bullpens, and peek inside the Green Monster scoreboard (weather permitting). Make sure to bring some paper or a little notebook because the kids can meet and receive autographs from Red Sox alumni throughout the day.

A college fair of historically black colleges will be set up in the State Street Pavilion Club before the game.

All Fenway Park gates and concession stands will be open. Parking varies in the area, but from the Metrowest area, the Framingham Commuter Rail line has trains running on Saturday with a stop right at Yawkey Way with a short walk to Fenway Park, and children under 12 ride free on the MBTA with a paying adult.

What a great way to end school vacation week!
