Play while learning how to pay for college!

I’ve partnered with Fidelity and MEFA (the Massachusetts Education and Finance Authority) to spread the word about the 2015 U.Fund Dreams Tour, which will be at the 25th Annual Kidsfest at Wachusett Mountain Resort this weekend (09/19 – 09/20/15)

KidsFest is two full days of music, food, and family fun! There are live shows, walk-around entertainment, magic shows, clowns, the Wachusett Mountain scenic summit SkyRide, Inflatable Games, Moonwalks, Jugglers, Bungee Jump, Magicians, Balloon Artists, Clowns, Face Painting, Pony Rides, Climbing Wall and more. There will be car seat safety checks too! It is rain or shine and no pets or coolers are allowed.

Everything is included in the admission with the exception of the SkyRide. However, kids 5 and under get free admission on the SkyRide. The Admission is $11 Adult or $7 (ages 3-12) in advance or $14 Adult and $10 (ages 3-12) at the door. The cost of Admission including the SkyRide is $19 Adult or $13 (ages 3-12) in advance or $22 Adult or $18 (ages 3-12) at the door. Click here for more details and a list of events.

There are lots of sponsors at the event, including the the Fidelity & MEFA’s U.Fund Dreams Tour.

The U.Fund Dreams Tour is an opportunity for kids and parents to learn about education, careers and paving the way for paying for it all. Stop by the Dreams Tour discovery tent at the Wachusett Kidsfest where kids (and parents) can engage with fun activities related to the college savings process. While you can learn how much to save each month by playing the “Savings Slinger” iPad game, or taking a series of photos on the Dream Tour GIF screen, you can also ask questions of the staff on any savings questions! While the kids are playing, parents can get pick up information on how to pay for it  – starting now!

Stay tuned for my next post with more college savings ideas and tools. I’ll report back on what I find (and learn) at the U.Fund Dreams Tour at Wachusett Mountain this weekend! Say “Hi” if you see me there!
