Indoor Sports for Kids in Massachusetts

Children enjoy organized sports. Here’s our list of fun places for indoor sports for kids.

A unique physical activity is to try a class at Guard Up. It’s an indoor fencing facility in Burlington with physical interaction and constant scenarios that require teamwork and communication. They have birthday parties, classes, special events and more. You can even attend one class or event for free!

Frozen Ropes in Natick has indoor baseball and softball classes for kids ages 3 and up. Programs include classes for 3-5 year olds, an afterschool academy, conditioning classes and personal training, hitting leagues and more. Frozen Ropes also has school vacation camps and birthday party packages.

Check out the Boston Rock Gym in Woburn. They have two-hour Kids Climb Classes where experienced instructors will belay children and encourage them to advance their skills. Also check out their birthday party options for kids 5 and up.

If you want to watch a game, rather than participate in one, seeing a Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins or Patriots game is blast. Yet, ticket prices can be high so consider watching a Boston College Football game or a baseball at the Lowell Spinners game. It gives the feel of a professional game at a budget friendly price. Or support your own hometown students by going to a high school football game or basketball game.

As an aside, ride on a bike as part of the Urban Adventours. They have daily tours or group tours of Boston and is a great way to spend time with the family while getting great exercise in the process. Or grab your own bike and enjoy the bike path along the Cape Cod Canal or the Minuteman Bike Trail in Arlington.

Whether it is signing your child up for a martial arts class or taking ice skating lessons, winter, spring, summer or fall is a great time to try something new.
