Autism Friendly Afternoon at Discovery Museums

April 5, 2016 @ 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Free

ASD Friendly Afternoons (free admission for pre-registered families) at the Discovery Museums in Acton, MA from 1:30pm – 4:30pm on April 5, 2016.

During ASD (autism spectrum disorder) Friendly Hours, they will not host school groups or birthday parties, avoiding overcrowding and supporting accessibility of exhibits. Participate in special sensory based activities open to everyone. A dedicated room will be available to welcome families with a child with an ASD to orient them to the campus and programs, and provide a quiet space for children needing a break from the stimulation of the museums. Pre-registration required here http://bit.ly/ASDApr2016 as space is limited.

Funded by Yawkey Foundations, The Foundation for Metrowest, 3M Foundation, DCU for Kids, The Nathaniel and Elizabeth P. Stevens Foundation, The Adelard A.
